حقائق سريعة: تحمل البوابة شعار سيد أكبر منحوتاً في الحجر فوق المدخل، رمزاً للقوة التي سيطرت على هذا الممر ذات يوم. عبر قبو البوابة، تحرك الفرسان والجنود والتجار لأكثر من 300 عام.

النقاط البارزة: داخل الجدران السميكة للبوابة توجد غرفة حراسة صغيرة حيث كان بإمكان الجنود مباغتة المتسللين في كمين. المفصلات الحديدية الأصلية التي حملت البوابة الخشبية الضخمة لا تزال مرئية، شاهدة على زمن ماضٍ من الحرفية والدفاع.

نصائح من الداخل

Look for the arrow slits in the stone walls on both sides of the passage, they reveal the gate's defensive function.
The best photo is taken from below with the gate framing the narrow street and the stairs behind.
Avoid hours between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM when cruise ships send large groups to the area.
Combine the visit with a trip to the Innsida Fortifications Visitor Centre nearby to better understand the defensive works.
