حقائق سريعة: أزقة ضيقة تغمرها الشمس تخفي أسواقاً نابضة بالحياة حيث يروج التجار للبهارات، والأواني النحاسية، والمعجنات الدافئة بينما تزخر الأحياء بالطقوس اليومية. لمحات من الأسطح ومداخل الفسيفساء المتقادمة تحول التسكع العادي إلى صيد للكنوز، لتكافئ المصورين وعشاق الوجبات الخفيفة بمشاهد ونكهات غير متوقعة.
النقاط البارزة: تسلل إلى شبكة من الأزقة لا يتجاوز عرضها متراً واحداً لتجد الهواء كثيفاً برائحة الكمون، وزيت السردين المدخن، وراتنج خشب الأرز المحترق الحلو، بينما يتردد الأذان خمس مرات يومياً مرتداً من الجبس المتآكل بفعل الشمس. كل مساء، لا يزال عدد من أصحاب الأكشاك يتفاوضون باستخدام نفس الألقاب التي تداولتها العائلات لأجيال، ينادي أحدهم الآخر بأسماء مثل الحاج محمد وفاطمة بينما يدونون المجاميع بقطعة من الطباشير الأخضر على الخزائن الخشبية، وهي ممارسة يقول بعض السكان المحليين إنها تعود لثلاثة أجيال مضت.

- Dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered to blend in and avoid unwanted attention.
- Carry small change and limit bulky valuables; pickpockets target distracted visitors in crowded alleys.
- Ask permission before photographing people, and try early morning or golden hour for the best light and quieter lanes.
