حقائق سريعة: يرتفع جبل أمسيطن 420 مترًا فوق مستوى سطح البحر، مقدمًا إطلالات بانورامية على ساحل المحيط الأطلسي وغابات الأركان بالأسفل. يلتفّ الدرب عبر مزارع مدرّجة وقرى أمازيغية متفرّقة حيث لا يزال السكان يحصدون ثمار الأركان يدويًا بالطرق التقليدية.
النقاط البارزة: عند القمة، تحمل الرياح رائحة المحيط الأطلسي المالحة الخفيفة من على بُعد 15 كيلومترًا، ممتزجةً بعبير الزعتر البري وإكليل الجبل الترابي الذي يكسو المنحدرات. ترقّب الحجل البربري وهو يندفع بين الشجيرات ولاحظ كيف يتحوّل الضوء عبر بساتين الأركان مع إضاءة شمس الظهيرة للأشجار بلون أخضر فضي.

- Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, the trail has loose stones and steep sections that get slippery after rain.
- Bring at least 1.5 liters of water and some snacks, there are no shops or cafés on the mountain.
- Start at the village of Ida Ou Ktir and follow the red painted rock markers, they lead to the clearest path to the summit.
- Skip the midday heat entirely, by noon the sun is intense with almost no shade on the upper slopes.
