حقائق سريعة: يمتد هذا المتحف على أربعة أفدنة ويعرض أكثر من 30 طائرة حربية تشمل مقاتلات وقاذفات ومروحيات. يضم المعرض الداخلي قطعاً أثرية نادرة مثل أول طائرة حلقت بها القوات الجوية الباكستانية عام 1947 ومقعد طائرة F-6 صينية محفوظ يمكن للزوار الجلوس فيه.
النقاط البارزة: تتيح لك الحديقة الخارجية الاقتراب من طائرات مقاتلة متقاعدة من باكستان والصين والولايات المتحدة، بما فيها طائرة شحن ضخمة من طراز C-130 Hercules يمكنك الصعود إلى داخلها. المس هيكل طائرة Mirage III المليء بندوب المعارك التي خاضت بالفعل مهام قتالية في حرب 1971، وطلاؤها الأصلي وعلاماتها ما زالت سليمة.
نصائح من الداخل
- Head straight to the F-6 cockpit simulator first before others queue up, you can sit inside and work the controls.
- Wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat or umbrella since the aircraft park is fully outdoors with little shade.
- Photography is allowed everywhere, but ask permission before climbing onto any aircraft as some are off-limits.
- Skip the small souvenir shop at the entrance and instead take photos of the detailed aircraft information plaques for free.
