حقائق سريعة: هذه القنوات الحلزونية القديمة تنقل المياه الجوفية عبر صحراء بيرو الساحلية الجافة منذ أكثر من 1500 عام. لا تزيد عن 30 من أصل 46 قناة حجرية وطينية تعمل حتى اليوم، لتزويد حقول القطن وكروم العنب بالمياه كما كانت تفعل في عصور ما قبل الإنكا.
