Viewing the gate from the outside is free. If you want to see the interior and the exhibition about the history of the fortifications, admission costs 10 lei for adults; we recommend a combined ticket with the nearby Black Church for 25 lei.

حقائق سريعة: كانت بوابة شاي جزءا من تحصينات براشوف في العصور الوسطى وكانت المدخل الوحيد للمدينة من الجنوب. لا تزال محتفظة بمظهرها الباروكي الأصلي من عام 1827، رغم أن أساساتها تعود إلى القرن الخامس عشر.
النقاط البارزة: في أعلى البوابة لاحظ شعار النبالة الحجري المكتوب عليه "سالفا غوارديا" وكان مدخلا ممتازا لا يسمح بالمرور منه إلا لساسة ترانسيلفانيا دون رسوم جمركية. عندما كان التجار يمرون بعربات محملة بالملح، كان عليهم دفع رسوم مرور تقاس حسب عرض العجلات.
نصائح من الداخل
- Stop at the information board on the left side of the gate. The original drawbridge system, which no longer exists, is drawn on it.
- Photograph the gate from the lower part of the street, and you will capture the entire arch together with the surrounding houses without any distracting elements.
- Notice the small stone balls walled into the sides of the gate; they served as protection against cannonballs.
- Avoid visiting at noon, when cars drive through here and you are not able to photograph the gate in peace.
