حقائق سريعة: لا يزال باب القلعة الضخم المصنوع من خشب النخيل والحديد يحمل أثر قذيفة مدفع أطلقت خلال معركة عام 1902 التي أدت إلى استعادة الرياض. ويبلغ ارتفاع أبراج المراقبة 18 متراً، وكان يستخدمها الحراس لمراقبة بساتين النخيل والمناظر الطبيعية الصحراوية المحيطة.
