حقائق سريعة: تمتد هذه التحصينات القروسطية على أكثر من 1.2 كيلومتر، وكانت تحيط بالبلدة القديمة بأكملها في احتضان حجري واقٍ. لا يزال نحو 80 في المئة من الأسوار الأصلية قائماً، مما يجعلها واحدة من أفضل منظومات أسوار المدن حفظاً في سلوفاكيا.
النقاط البارزة: خلافاً لمعظم الأسوار القروسطية التي هُدمت من أجل التطور العمراني، نجت هذه الأسوار لأن السكان المحليين حوّلوا أجزاءً منها إلى جدران خلفية لمنازلهم وحدائقهم. وإذا مشيت على طول الممر الضيق المحاذي لها، فلا تزال قادراً على رؤية فتحات السهام الأصلية ومعقلاً من عصر النهضة يعود إلى القرن السادس عشر بجدران تزيد سماكتها على مترين.

- Combine your walk with a stop at the nearby Skalica town square, just a two-minute walk from the walls.
