حقائق سريعة: على شكل هلال ويمتد لنحو كيلومترين، يواجه الشاطئ المحيط الهندي بمياه فيروزية تبقى هادئة خلال الرياح الموسمية الجنوبية الغربية من نوفمبر إلى أبريل. في أحد طرفيه مباشرة، تظهر كتلة صخرية ضخمة تسمى صخرة الببغاء من المياه الضحلة، ويمكن الوصول إليها تماماً سيراً على الأقدام عند انخفاض المد.
النقاط البارزة: عند الفجر، لا يزال الصيادون المحليون يدفعون زوارقهم الشراعية ذات الهيكل الواحد إلى الأمواج باستخدام تقنيات توارثتها الأجيال، وظلالهم مضاءة من الخلف بشروق الشمس. بين ديسمبر ومارس، يمكنك مشاهدة الحيتان الزرقاء وحيتان العنبر وهي تطلق نفاثات المياه على بعد بضعة كيلومترات فقط من الشاطئ، مما يجعل هذا المكان أحد أفضل مواقع مشاهدة الحيتان البرية على الكوكب.

- Walk to Parrot Rock at low tide for a 360-degree view of the coastline, but avoid slippery rocks during the climb.
- The far southern end near the palm grove is much quieter than the main stretch with far fewer vendors.
- Skip the restaurants right on the main beach path and walk one street inland for better seafood at half the price.
- Book a whale watching tour early in the morning (6:00 AM departure) for calmer seas and fewer crowds on the boat.
