Acerca de
Datos rápidos: The spring of the Bosna river pumps out 13,000 liters of water every second, forming a crystal-clear lake before cascading into the river. Wooden footbridges and gravel paths crisscross this 3-kilometer park, where dozens of natural springs bubble up through white limestone pebbles.
Destacados: Walk across the creaking wooden footbridges and you'll see the water actually boil up through the sand in dozens of separate springs, each one a tiny volcanic vent of cold, drinkable water. The sound is the real magic: a constant low rumble of rushing water mixed with birdsong, so loud you can barely hear your own footsteps.
Consejos de expertos
- Enter from the Ilidža side and take the small red tourist train if you don't want to walk the full 3 km gravel road (5 KM one way).
- Wear waterproof shoes or sandals with good grip: the wooden bridges get slippery and puddles are common after rain.
- The best photo spot is not the main lake but the wooden bridge at the second bend where light filters through willow branches.
- Skip weekends entirely if you want peace; instead come at 7:00 AM on a Tuesday or Wednesday when you'll have the whole place to yourself.
