- Bring a magnifying glass: some small items like Roman coins and ancient jewelry have incredible details that you can easily overlook.
- Make sure to climb up to the museum roof: the view of the Church of Saint Pellegrino and the harbor is the best in the entire city.
- Ask the staff to open the drawers in the ethnography room: they keep smaller exhibits there that are not displayed in the showcases.
- If you are interested in olive cultivation, ask for an oil tasting in the museum cellar, available with prior notice.
