About
Insider tips
- Wear comfortable shoes, many paths are cobbled and include steep climbs.
- Arrive at opening or after 16:00 to avoid the busiest tour-group times.
- Photograph the city from the southern terrace near St. Vitus for wide panoramas, and shoot Golden Lane early for atmospheric photos before crowds.
- If short on time, prioritize St. Vitus Cathedral and the Old Royal Palace and skip longer museum exhibits.

4.0Visited late afternoon with kids and got slowed by the security line. Paid for the audio guide and full ticket but ended up skipping exhibits, so not great value for time.
Arrived at 8am and had almost no line. The full ticket covering St. Vitus and the Old Royal Palace was worth the price, and the city views were fantastic.
Came around noon and it was busy but doable. The cathedral is impressive and free to enter, but the paid circuit felt a bit pricey for what you see.
