Subir por las estrechas escaleras hasta las torres recompensa con gárgolas que parecen cobrar vida y una campana principal que pesa casi 13 toneladas.
Destacados: La Corona de Espinas, venerada desde la Edad Media y atribuida a la Pasión, fue rescatada del incendio de 2019 por el sacristán y los bomberos; esa pieza se conserva con celo en la sacristía y solo se muestra en fechas concretas. Al subir los 387 escalones hasta las torres se oye el retumbar de la campana Emmanuel de 13 toneladas, y ahí mismo puedes ver las quimeras de Viollet-le-Duc, tallas del siglo XIX que parecen olfatear la ciudad entre polvo de piedra y olor a cera.
