Datos rápidos: Más de 80,000 personas pueden rezar aquí a la vez en su extenso patio y salas con columnas. Su construcción comenzó a finales del siglo XIX bajo una gobernante mujer, Nawab Shah Jahan Begum, y continuó en fases durante décadas.

Destacados: Camina por la entrada principal y te recibe una fachada rosa que cambia de tono con la luz del sol, brillando casi coral al atardecer. Los dos minaretes torreones, cada uno de 66 metros de altura, enmarcan una enorme piscina donde toda la mezquita se refleja como un espejo en días tranquilos.

Visit on a Friday around noon to hear the call to prayer echo through the halls, but arrive early as it gets crowded.
Cover your head and remove shoes before entering the prayer hall, scarves are available at the entrance if you forget.
The upstairs galleries offer a quieter viewpoint overlooking the main courtyard and are often overlooked by visitors.
