Datos rápidos: La tradición sij sostiene que Baba Bakala fue donde el Gurú Tegh Bahadur pasó nueve años en profunda meditación antes de ser identificado como el noveno Gurú sij. El santuario central del gurudwara aún contiene el pozo exacto de donde sacaba agua a diario, ahora considerado altamente sagrado.
