Datos rápidos: Hogar del macaco de Berbería en peligro de extinción, más de 300 especies de plantas prosperan en los bosques de cedro y roble del parque. La altitud del parque, a más de 1.600 metros, significa que el invierno trae una capa de nieve, transformando el paisaje en una escena sacada directamente de los Alpes.
Destacados: En lo profundo del bosque se alza un cedro masivo de 800 años llamado "Gouraud", que mide más de 12 metros de circunferencia y requiere que seis personas se tomen de las manos para rodear su tronco. La leyenda local dice que el árbol fue nombrado en honor a un general francés, y sus antiguas ramas han protegido a los pastores bereberes a través de innumerables tormentas de nieve.
