Russia is beautiful but cold even in summer, pack layers. St Petersburg nightlife is lively but expensive. Worth 7 days if you like history.
For anyone using the metro regularly, get a Troika card, way cheaper and you top up via the app, saves lots of hassle.
Didn't expect the food to be so hearty, loved the borscht and blini. Beware that some places close early, plan meals accordingly.
Cultural richness is unmatched but some tourist spots felt overpriced and overcrowded, especially the metro rush hours.
Avoid eating too close to Kremlin, better and cheaper food 2-3 blocks away with locals. Also check museum free entry days, huge savings!
