Datos rápidos: Extendiéndose por más de 120 kilómetros a través del centro de Riad, este extenso valle se transforma en un rugiente río durante las lluvias invernales. El proyecto de rehabilitación de 80 kilómetros convirtió un canal de inundación degradado en un próspero corredor verde que ahora recibe más de 500 000 visitantes al año.
Destacados: Al atardecer, mira hacia los acantilados que bordean las paredes del valle: docenas de torres de vigilancia del siglo XIX aún permanecen en pie, sus siluetas de adobe brillando en naranja contra la luz que se desvanece. Una torre cerca del distrito de Al-Ilb conserva aún vigas de madera originales y techos de palma intactos, exactamente como se construyeron hace más de 150 años.
