Mejor época para visitar

Aim for 30-45 minutes before sunset. The golden light transforms the white houses and domed church into a jaw-dropping spectacle, and the crowds thin out right after the sun dips below the horizon.

Consejos para el presupuesto

Completely free to visit at any hour. No tickets, no passes, no fees. The nearby public parking lots charge around 1.50 euros per hour, so park outside the old town and walk up through the charming cobblestone streets to save a few euros.

Recomendado para

Couples seeking a romantic sunset spot, Photography enthusiasts, Solo travelers looking for quiet reflection with a view, Day-trippers from Benidorm or Alicante city

Acerca de

Datos rápidos: From this viewpoint at 250 meters above sea level, you can spot the entire coastline from Cap de la Nau all the way to the Cape of Santa Pola. The silver-domed church that anchors the view was built by local villagers carrying stones up the hill on their backs in the early 18th century.

Destacados: Stand here at sunset and watch the whitewashed old town shift through six shades of gold, pink, and violet before the twinkling lights of the marina flicker on below. The silence at this hour is remarkable, broken only by church bells and the distant clink of glasses from terraces tucked into the maze of cobblestone alleys behind you.

Consejos de expertos

  • Bring a light jacket even in summer: the sea breeze at this height gets surprisingly cool once the sun is gone.
  • Skip the main path and approach through Carrer de la Costera del Cronista for a more dramatic reveal of the view.
  • The bench on the far right side of the railing offers the best photography angle with the church dome perfectly framed in the foreground.
  • Visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening for the smallest crowds: weekends pack in visitors from nearby Benidorm.
