Datos rápidos: Cada noche, el puente se ilumina alternativamente en siete colores, atrayendo a más de 10,000 visitantes diarios a pasear por sus 402 metros de longitud. Bajo sus arcos navegan decenas de barcos turísticos que ofrecen vistas de la ciudad iluminada desde el río Hương.
Destacados: Durante la guerra de Vietnam, el puente fue bombardeado dos veces y en ambas ocasiones los habitantes locales lo reconstruyeron con sus propias manos utilizando los materiales originales extraídos del río. Por la noche, las parejas jóvenes se reúnen en el puente para darse su primer beso bajo la luz de los colores; los lugareños lo llaman "el puente de los enamorados".

- Photographers should arrive at 6:30 PM to capture the blue hour and the first lighting of the bridge in one shot.
- Instead of walking on the bridge, sit in the tea house on the left bank. From there you have the whole bridge in perspective and the crowds are not pushing you.
- Avoid Saturday evenings, when the bridge is most crowded with locals and tourists.
- Take a light jacket even in summer. In the evening a pleasant cool wind blows from the river.
