Faits rapides: Trois douves défensives et cinq bastions protégeaient cette fortification, mais elle n'a jamais été prise par la force. Le château a été transformé en musée municipal au début du XXe siècle, abritant plus de 10 000 artefacts historiques.
Points forts: Un cycle de fresques cachées du XIVe siècle subsiste encore dans la chapelle, peint directement sur les murs par un artiste inconnu. Ces peintures murales décolorées représentant des vertus chevaleresques ont survécu aux incendies, aux guerres et à des siècles de négligence sans jamais avoir été restaurées.
