The world's first passenger railway terminus ran right through here, and the canals that still flow today once moved more freight than the port of London.
Points forts: At sunset, the orange glow of the restored Victorian warehouses reflects off the canal basin, and you can hear the rumble of trains passing on the 1849 wrought-iron viaduct above.
