The park itself is completely free, with no entry charge for the grounds, playgrounds, or woodlands. Parking costs around £1.50 for two hours, and the tram museum charges just a few pounds for a ride on a vintage vehicle.

Faits rapides: S'étendant sur plus de 600 acres, c'est l'un des plus grands parcs municipaux d'Europe et il offre des vues panoramiques sur Manchester depuis son point culminant. Un manoir néoclassique restauré du XVIIIe siècle, un lac de canotage et l'un des plus anciens musées de tramways en activité de Grande-Bretagne se trouvent tous dans ses limites.

Points forts: Le parcours de golf de 18 trous a été tracé par le légendaire architecte de parcours Alister MacKenzie, qui a également conçu Augusta National, siège du Masters. On peut jouer le même parcours pour une dizaine d'euros, ce qui constitue peut-être la meilleure affaire du golf britannique.
