त्वरित तथ्य: It is the largest imperial residence remaining in Japan, with more than 100 rooms distributed through a labyrinth of corridors and courtyards. Its gardens were designed so the imperial family could stroll and contemplate the changing seasons without leaving home.
मुख्य आकर्षण: It has 106 rooms connected by corridors that seem to multiply, and an original bathtub carved from a single stone over 5 meters long. Hirohito's parents used to spend their summers here, and the original tatami, over a century old, is still preserved.

- Take off your shoes at the entrance and walk only in socks, the wooden floor sounds different in each corridor and it's part of the experience.
- The tea room at the back is the quietest place to sit and admire the garden, hardly anyone makes it that far.
- Arrive with time to spare before 5 pm, the final stretch with the evening light over the garden is the most beautiful to photograph.
