Fakta cepat: Karpet sholat utama adalah karpet potongan tunggal terbesar kedua di dunia, dengan berat 21 ton dan dibuat dengan tangan oleh 600 wanita Iran selama empat tahun. Lima lampu gantung tergantung di dalamnya, dengan yang terbesar tergantung di ruang sholat utama setinggi 14 meter dan berat 8,5 ton, terbuat dari kristal Swarovski dan lapisan emas 24 karat.

Skip the guided tour and wander the courtyards first, then head inside when the crowd clears around 10:30 AM. The best photo spot is the reflection pool at the far end of the courtyard, shooting back toward the main dome. Remove shoes before entering the prayer hall, and bring socks because the marble floor gets cold even on hot days.
