Fatti rapidi: Il castello fu costruito negli anni Cinquanta del Trecento e fungeva da baluardo del Granducato di Lituania contro i Cavalieri Teutonici. Oggi ospita un museo con oltre 2.000 reperti, dalle armi medievali ai mobili d'epoca.
Punti salienti: L'interno del castello è stato recentemente ricostruito con affreschi freschi e vivaci che raffigurano scene della corte medievale dei duchi lituani. La sala del trono è un piccolo gioiello con decorazioni dorate e intagli in legno che ti trasportano direttamente nel XIV secolo.
