Blue Mosque

概要

クイックファクト: この18世紀のモスクの元のタイル細工のうち、今日まで残っているのはわずか40パーセントで、ドームを覆う鮮やかな青色の色合いは地元産の鉱物から作られました。このモスクはソビエト時代に数十年間使用されないままでしたが、1990年代にエレバンの小さなイラン人コミュニティの文化センターとして再開されました。

見どころ: 中に入って上を見上げてください。ドーム内部は4,000枚以上の手作りセラミックタイルの万華鏡で、それぞれが深いコバルトブルーとターコイズで複雑な幾何学模様に描かれています。金曜の朝には、反響するアザーン（礼拝の呼びかけ）が中庭で注がれるペルシャ茶の音と混ざり合い、壁の向こうの街からは遠く離れた世界のように感じられる感覚のタイムカプセルです。
