概要

クイックファクト: この中世の見張り塔はドナウ川流域から48メートルの高さにそびえ、晴れた日にはスロバキアまで見渡せる見事な眺望を誇る。その薄い石灰岩の壁は13世紀から立ち続けており、オーストリアのドナウ川沿いで最も古く保存された建造物の一つとなっている。

見どころ: 188段のすり減った石段からなる狭い螺旋階段が頂上へと通じており、かつて火の見張り台として使われていた展望台にたどり着く。そこからは、ドナウ川がブラチスラヴァに向かって曲がる正確なカーブをたどることができ、地平線にはカルパティア山脈がかすかに浮かび上がっている。
