概要

クイックファクト: 湯気を立てるモザイクと玉ねぎ型のドームが建物に童話のようなシルエットを与え、かすかな硫黄の香りの蒸気が下の温泉をほのめかす。訪問者は鮮やかな黄緑色のファサードを撮影するために長居し、ミネラル豊富な水は今も華やかな青銅の蛇口から流れ出ている。かつて地元の人々が回復浴に利用していたものである。

見どころ: 1911年から1913年にかけて建てられた古い浴場は今も天然の温泉から温かく硫黄の香りのする蒸気を吐き出しており、ひび割れたモザイクタイルの間から、水温約40〜42℃の水が溜まったプールを覗き見ることができる。地元の習慣で妙に愛らしいのは、人々が小さな蛇口に列を作り、ガラス瓶にミネラルウォーターを詰めて飲用や浸漬用に持ち帰ることだ。中には何十年も保管され、色あせたステッカーや手書きの日付が記された瓶もある。
