Spring (March-April) when plum blossoms, crabapple flowers, and magnolias bloom in the garden, and frogs croak by the lotus pond, is the best time to experience the natural scenery described by poets. On weekday mornings at 9 AM when the garden opens, there are the fewest visitors, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the entire garden alone.

Admission is 50 yuan, half price for students and seniors over 60. It is free on International Museum Day (May 18 each year). With a Chengdu annual travel pass, you can enter the garden unlimited times throughout the year.

概要

クイックファクト: 毎年200万人以上の観光客がこの詩聖を記念した静かな園林を訪れる。園内には800以上の楹聯と150以上の石碑があり、中国で最も集中的な杜甫テーマの書法碑林を形成している。

見どころ: 茅屋の前の蓮池では、成都の旧市街から集められた数十匹の亀が飼われており、彼らはすでにここで20年以上暮らしている。地元の人々は彼らを「詩聖の守護者」と呼んでいる。毎年旧暦三月三日には、園側が文房四宝を用意し、観光客が茅屋の前で杜甫の詩句を臨書できるようにしており、紙と墨は全て無料である。

The bluestone path behind the thatched cottage is rarely taken by visitors. The bamboo grove there has particularly good light and shadows for photography, and you can hear the rustling sound of wind blowing through the bamboo leaves.
There is a corridor between the Gongbu Shrine and the Poetry History Hall inside the garden. The painted ceiling tells 12 stories from Du Fu's life. Just look up and you can see them all. Do not miss it.
Going on a rainy day actually adds more atmosphere. Raindrops dripping from the thatched eaves perfectly recreate the scene from Du Fu's poem "Song of the Thatched Cottage Broken by the Autumn Wind."
The Huanhua Creek Road at the entrance is lined with cherry blossoms. From mid-March to early April, the entire road turns pink when the flowers bloom. Take a walk there after leaving the garden.
