クイックファクト: 180種1,200頭以上の動物が生息するこの動物園は、ジャガー、メガネグマ、色鮮やかなアンデスのイワドリなど、コロンビアの野生動物に重点を置いています。飼育繁殖プログラムでは、かつて野生では絶滅したと考えられていた絶滅危惧種のキイロインコのヒナを数十羽、孵化させることに成功しています。
見どころ: 動物園の夜行性動物館では、夜を再現した薄暗い赤い光だけに照らされたほぼ真っ暗な中で、キンカジューやメガネザルを観察できます。何百もの蝶や熱帯の鳥が肩の横を飛び回り、顔のすぐ数センチのところにある餌台に止まるウォークイン式の鳥舎を通り抜けることもできます。
