クイックファクト: この5キロメートルの遊歩道は、ヨーロッパに残る最後の高層湿原のひとつを縫うように進みます。泥炭層の中には深さ7メートルに達するものもあります。1万年以上前から存在するこの湿原は独自の微気候を作り出し、モウセンゴケのような特殊な食虫植物が小道沿いで昆虫を捕らえています。
見どころ: 中間地点の木製展望台に立ち、周囲を取り囲むように広がる地平線を眺めましょう。湿原はシナモンのような色の海のように四方八方に広がっています。静かな日には、湿原が実際に呼吸しているのが聞こえます。水浸しの泥炭を通ってメタンガスの気泡が上がり、板の下で柔らかくリズミカルなポンという音を立てるのです。
