概要
クイックファクト: この4階建ての石造りの塔は1860年代後半に建てられ、周辺の建物よりも30メートルの高さにそびえています。かつては監視塔や刑務所として使われていましたが、今日では主に市の時計を収容する役割を担い、その鐘の音は中心街の至る所で聞こえます。
見どころ: 頂上には450キログラムの鐘が吊るされており、毎正時に鳴り響き、その響き渡る音は近くの港からの波の音と混ざり合います。82段の急な石段を登って頂上に着くと、街の屋根、サンゴ礁、そして晴れた日には遠くにモーレア島まで見渡せます。
