St. Mang's Abbey

概要

クイックファクト: 1200年以上の歴史を持つバロック様式の修道院には、バイエルンで最大級の修道院図書館の一つがあり、約1万冊の蔵書を誇る。かつて聖マグヌスという隠修士が住んだ場所に建ち、天井のフレスコ画はなんと450平方メートルにも及ぶ。

見どころ: 図書室には、本棚の中に巧みに隠された秘密の扉があり、そこから秘密の通路へと通じている。かつて修道士たちは、誰にも見られることなく、そこから礼拝を観察していた。
