On weekdays in the morning, right at opening time at 9 AM, when there are the fewest crowds and the animals are most active after the morning feeding. The rainy season from May to October brings fresher air, but bring an umbrella.

クイックファクト: フィンカ・ラ・アウロラ内の21ヘクタールの敷地に280種以上の動物が生息しており、グアテマラ最大の動物園となっています。この動物園は観光名所であると同時に非営利団体でもあり、収益の一部は絶滅危惧種の保護プログラムに充てられています。
見どころ: 最大の見どころは印象的なバードケージで、高さ20メートルを超える巨大な網状の鳥小屋の中を数十羽の熱帯の鳥が自由に飛び回り、その中を歩くことは本物の熱帯の雲の中を通り抜けるような感覚です。また有名な住人もおり、その中には30年以上同じ場所に巣を作る老齢のアンデスコンドルがいて、翼を広げると約3メートルにもなり、定期的に訪問者を魅了しています。
