クイックファクト: 黒い砂、低木の白樺、鮮やかな青い氷がパッチワークのように見え、足元の風景が急激に変わるためちょっとした散歩もまるで新しい惑星を歩いているように感じられます。ハイキングコースは20分の散策から一日掛けのルートまであり、夏には氷河の川にアザラシや漂う氷山が現れます。
見どころ: 20メートルの滝が六角形の玄武岩の柱の上に落ち、その規則的な形が滝を彫刻されたオルガンパイプのように囲み、長時間露光に最適です。近くの氷河の舌は淡い乳白色の湖に崩れ落ち、その湖は足元でキュッと音を立てます。谷からは12以上のマークされたトレイルが広がり、夜明けの親密な展望スポットへ誘います。
