Kannur Lighthouse

概要

クイックファクト: アラビア海を見下ろす岩だらけの崖の上に位置するこの灯台は、1900年代初頭からケララ州沖の危険な海域を通過する船舶を導いてきました。その特徴的な赤と白の縞模様は、遠くからでもカンヌール港に接近する船員に即座に認識されます。

見どころ: 下からしか見ることができないほとんどの灯台とは異なり、ここでは最上部まで登ることができ、ラクシャディープ海がココナッツの縁取る海岸と出会う360度のパノラマを眺められます。晴れた日には、マッピラ湾の漁船団が朝の漁に向かう遠くのシルエットを確認でき、その木製の船体が水平線に揺れています。
