クイックファクト: 一人の収集家がアジア、ヨーロッパ、中東からの写本、ミニチュア、珍しい印刷書籍の驚異的な図書館を集めました。ポケットサイズの17世紀ペルシャ画から精緻な彩飾クルアーンや中世の聖書まで揃っています。
見どころ: 収集家サー・アルフレッド・チェスター・ビーティーは2万点以上を収蔵し、ギャラリーは低い琥珀色の照明とベルベット張りのケースで金箔と顔料を輝かせています。回転展示では13世紀の詩篇集と17世紀の日本の巻物を並べ、文化を超えた対話を楽しめます。
