概要
クイックファクト: コンパクトでモダンな水族館は、複数階に展示を重ね、観察デッキの下をペンギンが滑るように泳ぎ、照らされた水槽でクラゲが漂う様子を眺められます。多くの展示では350種以上を近くの窓越しに紹介し、ミニマルなデザインと実際に触れる教育用タッチプールを融合しています。
見どころ: 柔らかなLED照明の下、クラゲのギャラリーは音もなく色が変わるバレエへと変わります。半透明の傘は生きたランタンのように脈打ち、影になった触手が繊細な模様を描きます。飼育員は夕方の鑑賞前に心落ち着く薄暗い照明の儀式を行い、水槽が輝く間、空気はかすかに潮の香りが漂います。水しぶきの音を聞きながら、数メートル先のガラスの向こうでペンギンが浮かぶ様子を見られます。
