概要
クイックファクト: 旧市街の中心をなす三条の通り、三之町、壱之町、弐之町には、1889年の大火で周辺市街の多くが焼失した際にも生き残った商家の蔵が立ち並んでいます。これらの建物の多くは今も家族経営の商店として営業しており、中には200年以上前から使われている同じ酒蔵で試飲を提供している酒蔵もあります。
見どころ: 毎朝7時になると、宮川沿いに朝市が開かれ、農家の人々が今でも自転車やブルーシートの露店で山菜、味噌、花の苗を手売りしています。これは江戸時代から途切れることなく続く伝統です。春と秋の年に2回の祭りの期間中には、山車と呼ばれる豪華な曳山が専用の蔵から繰り出され、同じ通りを練り歩き、古い建物のファサードは最も華やかな姿に変わります。
