Parnidis Dune

概要

クイックファクト: 毎年最大15メートル移動するこの巨大な砂丘は、海抜52メートルまでそびえ、クルシュー砂州に沿って約2キロメートルにわたって広がる。1990年代に頂上に建設された石造りの日時計は正確な地理的位置を示し、訪問者は自分の影を使って時刻を知ることができる。

見どころ: 条件が整えば、ここの砂は足元で文字通り歌う。乾燥した日に砂丘の斜面を歩くと、石英の粒同士の摩擦により低周波のきしむ音やハミング音が発生する。
