Trakai is a small, safe lakeside town near Vilnius popular for its island castle. Tourist scams here are relatively minor, mostly centered around transport and dining near the castle. The main things to watch are unofficial rides from Vilnius and overpriced food and drink in the castle tourist zone.

1. Unsolicited airport drivers
手口: Drivers approach arrivals inside Vilnius airport offering flat inflated rates to Trakai or Vilnius centre without a meter. Rates are often double the metered fare.
回避方法: Walk to the official taxi rank or book through Bolt or Uber in the app before leaving the terminal.
2. Castle zone menu markups
手口: Cafes and restaurants directly around Trakai Island Castle charge notably higher prices with smaller portions. Some present items without prices on the menu.
回避方法: Check the menu has clear prices before sitting. Walk a few blocks away from the castle for standard local pricing.
3. Poor rate exchange booths
手口: Exchange booths near the castle and in Vilnius Old Town offer poor rates on cash conversion, effectively charging a high hidden margin.
回避方法: Use bank ATMs for cash in euros, which is already the local currency. Avoid cash exchange entirely if possible.
4. Boat rental overcharges
手口: Independent boat rental operators on the lakes near the castle may quote prices per hour that are not published anywhere, leading to disputes at return time.
回避方法: Confirm the total hourly rate in writing before renting and take a photo of any price list.

Vilnius International Airport
タクシーの適正料金（公式・日中）: €25 - €40. Use the official taxi rank outside arrivals or book via Bolt or Uber apps. Decline unsolicited offers from drivers inside the terminal who quote inflated flat rates.
