クイックファクト: 朝の光が曲がりくねった石畳の通りにこぼれ、装飾が施された教会の塔が空を彩り、隠れた中庭はゆったりとしたカフェの休憩を誘います。数百の保護された歴史的建造物の間を漂いながら、ゴシックの外観からバロックの装飾まで数分で移り変わり、ストリートミュージシャンや色彩豊かな壁画が路地を生き生きとさせます。

見どころ: 小さな石畳の区画には、ナポレオンが1812年の行軍中に大変感心し、ポケットに入れてパリに持ち帰りたいと冗談を言ったと言われる赤レンガのゴシック教会があります。夕日の中で燃えるようなテラコッタの外観が輝いています。春ごとに数十人の礼拝者が小さな礼拝堂の真鍮格子に顔を押し当てて願い事をささやき、ミツロウのろうそくを置きます。そのろうはハチミツ色の水たまりとなり、かすかに松と煙の香りがします。
