クイックファクト: わずか数ヘクタールの敷地に、王のような青いカメレオンからフォッサ、最大のキツネザルであるインドリまで、約80種のマダガスカルの動物が生息している。公園の植物園部門には、島の植物相を記録した約8万点の植物標本が収められたハーバリウムがあり、その70パーセントは他のどこにも存在しない。
見どころ: アイアイ、長いクモのような指を持つ夜行性のキツネザルは、訪問者の目の前で樹皮を叩きながら幼虫を探す。原住民の森では不吉な兆候とされているにもかかわらずだ。夕方になるとインドリの特徴的な歌声が響き、そのこだまは静まりゆく公園を越えて広がり、魂に遠い熱帯雨林の雰囲気を呼び起こす。
