Try to get to the hot springs early morning before the crowds set in. It’s cheaper and way more peaceful that way.
Food options are decent but overpriced near the train station. Wander a few blocks out for tastier and cheaper meals. Loved the fresh fruit juices!
The weather was way hotter than I expected. Bring lots of sunblock even if you think it's cool at higher altitudes. We stayed 3 nights but 2 would've been enough IMO.
Buy your Machu Picchu tickets online in advance to avoid scams. Also, the bus line has long waits, so consider hiking if you have time.
The market near the town center has great snacks and souvenirs, but always haggle. Also, some stalls only accept cash, so bring enough soles.
