クイックファクト: 毎年60万人以上の訪問者が、ドラキュラ伝説にまつわる場所をこの目で見ようと訪れます。吸血鬼伯爵のモデルとされるヴラド・ツェペシュは実際にはここに住んだことはなく、この城は主に関税の要塞や王の住居として使われていました。

見どころ: 中庭には、かつてトルコ人捕虜が手掘りした深さ60メートルの石造りの井戸が今も残っています。地下室には、城と周囲の森を結び、王族の脱出路として使われた秘密の通路を見ることができます。

Do not arrive at noon between 12:00 and 2:00 PM, as most organized tours from Brașov arrive at that time.
Instead of standing in the hour-long line at the main gate, use the side entrance through Queen Marie's Tea House. It is almost line-free.
The best photo of the castle is taken from the viewpoint by the road below the castle, where the entire silhouette including the towers is in the frame.
It is not worth buying souvenirs from the first stall at the castle. A few meters further in the foothills, they sell them for half the price.
