概要
クイックファクト: 縁を歩くと、幅1,000メートルの火口が見え、200メートルの深さにまで落ち込んでいます。底部では一つの家族経営の農場がブドウ園とオリーブを栽培し、このくぼんだ火山性の盆地で育つブドウからワインを生産しています。
見どころ: 縁に立つと、約5,000年前に崩壊してできた、ほぼ完全な円形劇場のような形の火山の火口を見渡せます。見下ろすと、底部にあるただ一軒の家、緑のテラスに囲まれた農家が見えます。この家は雨水だけで何とか存続しています。

- メインの展望台が混んでいたら、火口縁に沿って左へ100メートル歩くだけで、静かなパノラマを楽しめます。
- 火口内へ下りてハイキングする予定なら、丈夫な靴を履いてください。緩い火山礫で下りは滑りやすくなっています。
- 雨上がりの晴れた日に訪れると、底の緑が赤みがかった火口壁と最も鮮やかなコントラストを見せます。
- 双眼鏡を持参すれば、底の小さな農家や棚田が見え、まるでミニチュアの世界のようです。
