概要
クイックファクト: 海抜1,560メートルの山の分岐点、クルス・デ・テヘダはグラン・カナリア島の地理的な中心に位置します。この場所の名前の由来となった石造りの十字架は、この地が羊飼いや旅人たちの出会いの場としての歴史を持っていたことを記念して、1946年に建てられました。
見どころ: 展望台に立つと、1,400万年前に崩壊した古代の火山の火口、巨大なカルデラ・デ・テヘダを正面に見渡すことができます。晴れた日には、一つの展望地点から島の異なる三つの気候帯をたどることができるのです。湿った松林、乾いた南斜面、そして緑豊かな北の谷々が、すべて同時に見渡せます。

- 夏でもジャケットを用意しましょう。標高1,560メートルの気温は海岸より10°Cも低く、突然の突風が吹くことがあります。
- パラドール内のレストランをスキップして、5分歩いた先の道路沿いの売店で新鮮なクエソ・デ・フロール（アザミのレンネットで作る地元のヤギのチーズ）を買いましょう。
- ツアーバスが午前中に到着し始めるため、石造りの十字架と展望台を独り占めしたいなら午前10時より前に到着しましょう。
- 十字架の裏手の小道を進むと、ほとんど人気のない、カルデラをさらに見渡せる短い未標識のトレイルがあります。
