概要
クイックファクト: 海抜1,100メートルに位置するこの山間の村は、カナリア諸島のアーモンドの花の首都であり、毎年2月には10万本の白とピンクの花が斜面を覆い尽くす祭りが開催されます。そこへ至る曲がりくねったGC-15号線は、劇的な火山カルデラの中を60のヘアピンカーブで切り抜けていきます。
見どころ: 晴れた朝には、村の広場に立って、古代の火山カルデラの縁から雲がスローモーションの滝のように流れ落ちるのを見ることができます。地元の人々が「雲の海」と呼ぶ現象です。同じ広場には、島に現存する唯一の18世紀のさらし台があります。かつて公開処罰が行われた石柱ですが、今は花で飾られています。

- 観光客で混雑するメイン広場のカフェは避けて、通りを2本下ったドゥルセリア・ヌブロまで歩けば、半額でより新鮮なビエンメサベが味わえます。
- 村の入口にある最初の駐車場に停めてください。そこから先は道が極端に狭くなり、駐車スペースがなくなります。
- 夏でも軽いジャケットを持参しましょう。標高1,100メートルでは海岸より気温が10°C低くなります。
- 帰りにミラドール・デル・ピコ・デ・ラス・ニエベスの展望台に立ち寄り、ゴールデンアワーにカルデラの最高のパノラマショットを撮影しましょう。
