クイックファクト: 川岸にそびえる12角形の石塔は、かつては川を遡る船を止めるための重い鎖をつないでいた。塔の中では、海事関連の展示品や歴史的な地図が、古い木やロープのかすかな匂いを漂わせる薄暗いショーケースに並び、往時の面影を今に伝えている。
見どころ: 狭い螺旋階段を上ってテラスに出ると、涼しい川風を感じながら、石造りが太陽の光を受けて暖かく、つややかな金色に輝くのを見ることができる。12角形のシルエットは、ある角度からは塔を巨大なコインのように見せる。地元の語り部たちは、川の塩が付着してきらめく、土台の錨で削られた跡のある石を今でも指し示している。
